I use this product often. I have learned the quirks about it as I go along. I didn't want to spend $1000 on a camera, so I chose this one. I have been real happy for the most part with this camera. I have taken some really GREAT photos with this camera and I know I wouldn't have been able to with my older digital kodak camera. The camera is not really meant for fast action sports. There is a delay between exposures and the burst sequence is not near as fast as I was wanting. For example, I was wanting to photograph a tee-ball game. I made the picture when the batter hit the ball. I was wanting to refocus and get a base running photo and a photo at 1st base. I finally got the image in focus.....only to be after the runner had passed the base already. It took that long for the image to take, rezoom and refocus. I was quit ill after that. So for sports.....not so good for fast action. Don't get me wrong. I WAS able to get some great shots......just not as many in action sequence as I had hoped.
I love the Macro setting. I have become a big fan. It takes really good photos of things up close. This is one of my favorite things about this camera.
I also love the adjustable viewing screen. It can turn up and adjust to make it easier to see. It is an awesome feature.
I like the size of the camera. Not to heavy either.
I would rate this camera about a 7 or 8. This is a great camera for the price.

Used the camera on a recent trip to NZ. Worked like a champ. A lot of options which can overwhelm you but I generally leave it at a particular setting and shoot away. Keep several charged batteries around, they drain pretty quickly. Would recommend it.
