Nice camera. Has cool features like built in filters. Pop up flash is fairly powerful. Great image quality. If you are a 35mm slr user, this will take a bit of getting used to; it is complicated. It is a quantum leap from my point & shoot Nikon. I haven't totally figured out all the bells and whistles yet, but I like it.

this is actually my daughter's camera, she's leaving for college in the fall and needed a digital SLR. The package price was right, the functionality is excellent, the lens is a great all around lens. She will be using it mostly for photography classes - she takes portraits in landscapes.

This is my first experience with an SLR camera... I was using the Nikon Coolpix point & shoot... but really wanted more control over my pictures. So far I LOVE the D60 more than I thought I would... mostly because it is VERY user-friendly! I was a bit intimidated at first, but from the minute I picked it up & started taking pictures I was hooked. So far I have no complaints, the real test will be using on my vacation in 3 weeks.

I'm a very casual photographer. Never had any training and this is my first SLR camera. I LOVE IT!!! It is so easy to use and probably has more features then I'll ever use. I bought the DVD to help get me started. Very beneficial, especially if you don't like to read. I'm sure I will watch it a few more times just to make sure I catch all the details. Overall an excellent camera from my perspective!!!
