Had an older pentax that i bought in'99. have had several different brands since. Nice to come back home to Pentax. It makes an average picture taker a great photographer.

I added a 75-300mm lens to my K2000 and shot some football and soccer pictures. I could not believe the speed of the autofocus or the zero shutter delay. I captured some absolutely stunning action photos in perfect focus and exposure. The continuous shooting mode is excellent as well. The built in flash is more than adequite for indoor shots. All appear brightly lit. I also added the Pentax af200fg flash unit and had the opportunity to take a group shot of 60 students in a large hall. I couldn't believe the brilliant results. I am totally satisfied with my purchase. The price is right.

Camera has been great so far. The point and shoot just would not capture our kids in motion. we missed plenty more shots than we captured. Awesome price and plenty of options. Still learning the ins and outs. Very fast capturing. Auto adjustment is a great option.

I have only owned this camera for 2 weeks, but am having a lot of fun taking photos now. being a very casual photographer with little knowledge this is a simple camera to use. And it is so much better than the little point and shoot digitals that i have been using. The greatest benefit is the fast shutter speed so i don't miss a shot and the fast recycling time so i am ready for the next shot. I wish I had this when my niece graduated from college. I would highly recommend this camera for those that just want a nice digital SLR at a great price and that has a great image.
