Still overwhelmed with all of the settings. Seems to be great at full auto, just aim and shoot. Our first DSLR since 35mm. Took it to an indoor concert (in a tent) and some of the shots of the performers where dark and some where fine, so it appeares to be inconsistant but that could be me.
Overall a great package with the two lenses. I love the 4 AA batteries which are available anywhere!

I very much so like this camera, it is excellent in making the transition from a "point and shoot" to a SLR camera. I am still gaining a full understanding of all the available adjustments, while still being able to use it quickly as a "point and shoot". My wife was fusing about my decision at first, now she realizes she can work the camera and take great pictures. We are going on vacation this weekend, I will give further input after it has had the first major run at capturing family memories...P.S. It was an excellent buy at Abes...Thanks you guys...

The Pentax K2000 takes great pics and is easy to use. I also love the onboard "help" button. It helps answer just about any question you have.
