I bought this camera for my wife. I was a little hesitant as I had always owned Canon point and shoot digital cameras without any issues. However, she really wanted the dual view option on the Samsung so she got it. Our anniversary was Saturday the 9th and she started using the camera almost immediately. My major concern was the battery. I'm used to just being able to pop in some new alkalines as needed and this unit doesn't allow that. However, I bought her a spare battery and the charger that I bought allows you to charge at home or in the car. This is a blessing in disguise.

Being a picture fanatic, I have gone through 6 cameras in the last 4 years because I couldn't find one that I absolutely loved. This camera will be with me for years because it is fabulous. Easy and fun to use. Cute and compact. I got it the day before I left for vacation and it held it's own through the 700+ pictures I took within 5 days. I would highly recommend it and, in fact, have already recommended it to many of my friends.

The most innovative features on this camera is the front LCD and the large back touch screen. Other than that, if you are looking for a high image quality camera, I would look elsewhere. Compared to my Sony with only 8 MP, vs. the Samsung 12 MP, I get a better picture with the Sony.

The camera is sexy and slim, very convenient to carry around. I am able to see the display relatively well even under lots of sunshine. There are many menus, many features that I did not have in my previous camera (Canon Powershot A620) but they are not hard to navigate even without ever looking at the manual. The battery is not sufficient and u will certainly have to buy another one. I found the dual stabilization mode to save the day when u take night pictures. When i played around taking fotos inside the house at various lighting conditions... I did not always get good focus or quality. I need more experimentation I guess, but the camera seems to do well the various options it offers. Overall, I think it is a great camera under $300 and it will surely surprise u with its many features.

Bought this for my wife who loves to take self portraits. We also like to go on trips and hate asking people to take our picture. The front screen is awesome. Just make sure you use it just for placement or you'll get a picture not looking into lens. Haven't seen much problems out of battery yet but haven't took it on vacation yet. Touch screen is very sensitive and takes time to get used to but size is great. Abe's pricing was terrific. Will do repeat business.

Having only used the camera briefly, I haven't tried out all of the features, but the ones I have used have been great. I'm impressed that Samsung has packed more features into a smaller package than the Canon A610 I am replacing. The cell phone style battery, proprietary charging connection and the micro SD card are a bit of a bummer, but that's the tradeoff for the slim design. I'm pretty sure this will turn out to be a wonderful camera.

The camera is compact - very pocketable. Turns on fast and takes great pictures in the auto mode - I could even get my textured curtains when the morning sun was shining thru them - most compacts would not be able to do this. Depending on how good you are at setting the shooting modes, the quality can be improved. When you turn on the digital image stabilization, you cannot use any of the shooting modes. The smart mode selection works 70% of the time. The smile trigger is a gimmick and I have not been able to make the blink detection work. That said, the LCD on the front of this camera finally got me into pictures instead of behind them :) My 4yr old daughter can use it and flips thru pics on the other hand she also uses the iPhone with ease. If this one had wireless capability I would give 5 stars. I was hoping they would do it on the 2010 model but instead they moved some of the features into a higher end TL240.

I have not had the camera long enough to put it through its paces, but so far so good. The LCD screen is large and very crisp. The front LCD is great in taking self portraits and having your subject happy with what you are shooting. The touch screen is so easy to handle, and the menu icons are very intuitive. When the kids' cameras need replacing, this will be the brand/model I will choose.

Have only had this camera a month. I bought it for my fiance as a replacement to a 5mp camera we have. WOW what a difference! Love the large LCD screen and the clarity of the pics is just amazing. We haven't had the chance to really play around with all the features, especially the video which is one of the reasons why I didn't give it a 5 star rating. The second reason was that on X-mas when she opened, after fully charging it and taking pics for about an hour it was already down to one bar of battery life. I definitely suggest doing as we are and buying a second battery if planning on taking this camera to outdoor events or on road trips. Other than that though, this camera is a beauty!
