Extremely easy to use BUT Sony will give you an hour+ to teach you. I took it---it was a no 'brainer.
Only goes to 10' underwater, but I use it on rivers and lakes and have already dropped two cameras in the water, so this ----keep your wrist strap on--- should be perfect.
The pics are great. Very very great.

Haven't had a lot of use with it yet, but so far, I am very impressed. Sony's panorama feature is awesome. Haven't been able to test out the waterproof capabilities yet, but so far, I haven't found anything I don't like about it!

Bought for the waterproof, drop resitance qualities because I lost my last two Sony cameras to getting wet and getting dropped. Really love the ability to zoom in and out while videoing. Have to be careful when shooting pictures or video because it is easy for your finger to block the lens due to the placement of the lens.

Its small. Can easily carry around and would never miss to capture a good momemnt.
Touchscreen is good.
Water resistance is a good feature to have. But this made access to battery and memory card a bit cumbersome.
Panaromic feature is good.

The colour should have been RED and not PINK...probably not a big deal...bcas either way this is a winner.

This camera is great for general family photo taking - sporting events, wedding,s family gatherings, etc. I have had kids use it to video themselves going off the board and then underwater - great fun!

I really want to have unlimited number picture for burst mode. I am surprised that I do 10 pictures max only. or maybe 20-30 pictures that last for couple more second on high-speed burst.
I didn't find any distinguish spec when I browse it.

The Waterproof is amazing. I can take picture wherever I want/need such as in the pool/beach. So I don't lost any moment for my kid.

The Shockproof is very useful for 2 years kid who still easy drop things to the floor. So I don't worry about break it when my kid drop it.

Very recommended for family with small kid.

Ability to make excellent still pictures from action video. eg. Boogie boarding in the ocean.
Since high def flat screen is the new standard the cable should include the high definition cord,
since the included cord ends up being thrown away.
Also the manual needs work.

Read alot of reviews before purchasing and decided to go for it. Hands down one of the best looking underwater/shockproof/freeze proof cameras on the market (the others such as cannon d10- Olympus, or Lumix ft 1-2, are just too bulky and awkward looking in my opinion). Looks just like any other cybershot out there. Do want to note that the color is listed as red, but it is more of a pinkish red, or light magenta out of the box. Depends on the lighting really and how the light reflects off the outer case. Works great underwater, had no issues takes nice low light shots as well. Burst mode is great for 10 shots in one second for action shots etc. Shoots movies in 720p, also works underwater. Zoom is ok nothing great but its a point and shoot so I didn't expect much, was happy that the zoom works underwater as well(as does touch screen, flash etc). I bought a 16gb SDHC from sandisk to use. Gets about 4 hours worth of HD video on the card. I would say use at least an 8gig + if you plan to hold videos and photos, HD sucks up a lot of the memory but, you can also shoot in normal video as well. Battery life is probably the only downside to this camera. If you plan to use this for a full day occasionally shooting here and there, should be fine. If you plan to shoot video for awhile and then shoot some pics don't expect it to last too long. I also wish it came with a HDMI plug to the TV, but it doesn't. Overall super nice camera, couldn't be happier. Now I can take my camera to water-parks, the pool, skiing/snowboarding, hiking etc without worrying about it getting wet or tossed in snow.

For those out there wondering about the card I used. This is the model # SDSDHV-016G-A15 . It is in fact a class 6 card (You will need class 4 or higher)

Simply a great tough camera. We looked at other cameras that had similar outdoor capabilities: (waterproof, drop-proof, etc). Others from Olympus and Canon were "tougher" but took simply lack-luster pictures. The Sony beats them in quality handsdown. It's also very easy to use. We love the big touch screen.
