Very fast and user friendly. Touch screen is great. Video is superb 1080P. Nice PMB software. Makes bluray and regular DVD. Pictures are not that sharp. Poor red light reduction feature. I have to remove red eye from almost all the close up pictures.

I love this camera! I chose it over similar Canon point-and-shoots because of the much faster shutter speed. I wanted the shortest possible time between turning on my camera to when I could snap a photo, and the Sony TX7 is great. The ultra wide lens is also super convenient - it's great for landscapes and you never have to worry about cutting people out in large group photos.

The new sony panorama feature is also really cool, and though it's not essential, is one of those features that you'll definitely use once you have it. The large LCD touchscreen takes some getting used to, but is not too hard to learn and convenient once you do.

The HD video is really easy to use and great quality. I turned the setting from HD to MPEG to reduce the size of the videos but still great quality.

I've had this camera for about a month, and the only drawbacks are ones that I had already read about in previous reviews. The battery life is really short - but having owned a Sony cybershot previously, I was prepared to buy an extra battery anyways. I've found that one extra battery (2 total) is enough for a full day of taking pictures. Another drawback is that indoor pictures without flash can appear overly yellow, and sometimes pictures that look really great on the camera screen will look soft and fuzzy once uploaded to the computer.

Generally though, I am very pleased with my new camera (I'm on vacation and have taken at least 1000 photos already), and it's served me really well in my travels so far.

Panorama function takes compensated hand instability.
Anti-blur and stability functions is exceptionally good.

Overall it took quality pictures even at low light. The lens is in position that my finger was blocking part of the picture. Holding the camera differently to avoid this took some time to get used to. My biggest complaint is that the processing took too long, so I missed my second action shot because the control returned after the scene was gone.
