Bought this for my wife to replace another digital camera which because of it's complexity she was getting frustrated with.
We have a new grandchild and the smile detection works great to capture pictures of the little one! My wife loves it & I'm very impressed with it!
The reason I only gave the product overall rating of "That's Good Stuff" is because I know there are better, more expensive digital cameras out there.

This is my third Sony. I find the Sony very easy to use and to figure out the controls. It's light and easy to fit in my purse. I bought the longer life battery and it lasts forever, even when you take movie clips. I also bought the high speed memory stick to avoic lag between pictures. So far, my pictures look great!
