I wish the zoom feature was better. It does zoom but not from too far of a distance. The picture quality is excellent even in poor light. The battery life is long but I plan to purchase an additional battery (when I can find one) because it sucks when your battery dies and you have to wait to charge up.

A pro SLR shoots no better than this camera unless you yourself are a pro. In fact it shoots worse.

This is a perfect Point and Shoot camera. Just set to Auto and get to clicking. This shoots really great in low light. I love to shoot food as well, and they look awesome. For food, I suggest a small tripod. Even though the Image stabilization is great, tripod give you better quality image.

It can also shoot great pictures at lowlight, and Foliage. This is the best thing after sliced brown bread.
