I bought this camera for a friend who knew little about photography because it is easy to use and navitate the settings. I had an A-100 and loved it. I upgraded to an a-350 for live view and a tilting lcd. If you can aford it get the sony sal 18-250 lens, the best all around lens i've ever used.

Love this camera!! Bought it on a recommendation from a friend and am glad I listened to him. All of my Minolta lenses work well with it and the pictures look great.

I do have to talk about the loudness of the camera. I said it was "shutter noise" but its actually the mirror moving out of the way of the CCD. Its pretty loud but I havent had any problems shooting because of it.

Overall...great camera...dont hesitate to get it and enjoy it!!
