I use my camera at car races, primarily F1 races taking pics of ontrack and pit shots. This lens just helps me get a little closer and is pretty consistent and easy to use. Can be a little cumbersome to attach when you're out and about but a little planning and you're fine.

This unit completed what was a pretty good high end point and shoot camera.
I still like to darken the sky without using
photoshop, and this allows me to do that.

Seems to be the best or only way to add a lens filter on a Canon digital camera of this style. The hood does get in the way of some close subject photography and adds an odd shadow. Once you figure that out it is possible to screw it off rather quickly. Both the adapter and lens hood protect the barrel of the camera lens nicely from bumps and scrapes.
