I purchased this product knowing it was not the best zoom in the world,but it has the most value of any zoom in it price range buy fare.Good close focus ability,Light,Excellent optical performance for price.

Purchased this as a backup and light-weight alternative to my Canon 7-200 IS USM lense. Used it on 2 outdoor photo sessions. Worked fine; images were reasonably sharp. Just need to use common sense that at higher millimeter exposures (200-300), image stablization requires a very fast shutter speed (over 200) and/or a tripod.

For the money, it great!

I used the lens for a wedding and I got great shots of the couple dancing from a second floor balcony. It brings the subject right up into focus.

Very satisfied with the lens. I ordered this lens and the guy sold me on a Sigma with the same focal length. I called him back, immediately, and changed it back to the Canon, because the Sigma is not an IS lens. They sent the Sigma anyway! Abes did make it right in the end. I just wished I could afford the EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM.
