I never write reviews...but this product is great.If you have rockband games it takes toy drums[that come with game]and makes it real practice drums.My son[8]and I went to a friends house and played Beatles rock band..we had fun and he liked playing the drums with Ringo.I am a drummer and didnt like the toy drums that came with set.The set is nothing like drums. Than by luck I saw this drum set. I read all reviews but there was nothing else like it,so I bought them, the game,mics and guitar. Yes it costs a little more but I found out it was well worth it.I set them up like real practice drums for him, had no problem. There are strong and eazy set up {blue ring for ride cymbel is best]. Now he gets a feel for the real thing. I read a review that said the cymbels are not so good,they are fine, yes you could buy $3000.00 Electric drums but this set at [$] set is great. I am using it for practice drums. My con would be with the floor pedal I wish it had a better feel...But this set is GREAT....BUY IT!!!!

This is a great core for an ultimate Rock Band drumming setup. I'd advise adding some better cymbals (Pintech TC series ones work great) and a sturdier pedal (the one included is actually a hi-hat pedal). The pads work great and the mounting options allow you to customize your kit just the way you like it.

Very satisfied. Took about a half hour to an hour to set up (You'll have to play a few songs to adjust the drum and cymbal units to your specifications).The cables for each unit is ridiculously long. But that was quickly solved. Except for the foot pedal's cable. I wish it were wireless :( (And for some reason you can't play a Guitar Hero game with the cymbal cables connected (It registers the drum set as that 5 drums drum set world tour comes with. It's not playable in this mode since there's no orange cymbal to hit). Just be sure the cymbals are disconnected before starting the game (disconnecting the cymbals prior to will not change how the game registers the drum set).

Although expensive for a game peripheral it delivers exactly as promised. The setup process took a little while to get just right only because each pad is adjustable in every way. The pads have never missed a hit, never spilled over to the next pad and my double-hitting on the red seems to have disappeared. I am now playing expert drums in Rock Band 2 which is only possible because of these drums since I couldn't even play hard on the regular drums. The cymbals are not as sensative as the pads, at least not on the rubber coated striking area. I did notice a few missed notes when rapidly striking one but this doesn't affect gameplay in the least since there's no rapid hitting on a cymbal like i did to test. The bass pedal seems a little flimsy and may be the only drawback but as yet it has never failed. There's nothing on the market that comes close to this product for the price. The original Rock Band drums are a joke in comparison. The Goodwood Mods drum pads are great but only replace the Rock Band kit pads and at [$]they are expensive and still not quite as good as the ION pads. There's simply nothing out there to compete with these in the same price range.

I'd been eying the Drum Rocker since it was announced and had a bit of a hard time justifying the price tag. I bought it at a discount from the MSRP at Abe's. I've played on the old RB1 kits, the RB2 kits, and this, and the Drum Rocker is head and shoulders better than every other kit.
However, it's still pricey. It's very pricey. I would not recommend that anyone purchase it unless they were really into playing drums on Rock Band 2. There, it registers hits more accurately, the pads have better rebound, every hit sensor is more quiet than either of the Harmonix kits, and the kick drum is way better.
It's a very specialized and very pricey toy, it doesn't make you a professional drummer or make you any better at drumming (though it is a better piece of equipment if you know what you're doing). But if that's up your alley, it's a lot of fun and at the Abe's discount it's not too hard to justify.

This set makes Rock Band drumming much more realistic and enjoyable. The quality is much higher than the original equipment and takes plenty of abuse without breaking.

This set is awesome, I received my set today just two days after Abe's shipped them. It was very simple to put together as i was playing in no time. This set rocks, I was hitting notes that I was missing on the stock drums. It's a well built set and Abe's is the cheapest that I found them, about $40 cheaper than everywhere else! Abe's is great to deal with! Thanks

great product Expensive toy drums, So much better than rockband 2 drums,quiet too.I changed bass pedal to a chain driven rock pedal. Pedal that comes with kit is really a hi hat pedal.So Im pleased with over all purchase & product.

I use this product to play Rock Band 2 for the PS3. Its really good and picks up pretty much every hit. The pedal could be a little bit better and the cymbals could be a little more sensitive. Other than that, its great.

I've loved everything about this product, however, I've already had a drum bracket break. I'm going to contact Ion this week to have it replaced, but I'm still hoping it was just a freak accident and not something I'll be dealing with frequently.
Other than that one bracket, this thing is amazing. It goes even better with two Peak Starpex guitars.
