I have this connected to my Sony surround system that has a video pass-through to play my Xbox 360, PS3 (&bluray movies), and PC.

Bright picture even when the lights aren't off, and max resolution of 1080p. Doesn't get much better than this.

Comments about OPTOMA Technology HD65 DLP Projector:

Projecting on a white wall in basement. Mounted at ceiling height about 15ft from wall. This gives about 10ft diag. picture and quality is still pretty good even at this distance. Setup a modest sound system and watching Ironman was like being at the theater.

Comments about OPTOMA Technology HD65 DLP Projector:

I'm using this projector for my daily TV viewing, and I love it. I have HD channels, and the 1080i capability makes a huge difference. A 1080p projector would be nice, but it's not worth spending an extra $1200+ for it. This projector produces a very bright image, the fan is very quiet, it's small and light, it's easy to operate... Overall I have no complaints. I did a lot of research on projectors before I made a decision, and I'm glad I went with this one. The 3-year warranty is important to me, and getting the 3-year bulb replacement for only a few hundred more is well worth it given the cost of lamps. Abesofmaine has the lowest price of any place I could find[...]

By BrianVerified Purchaser from Carthage, NC on 2/9/2009

Comments about OPTOMA Technology HD65 DLP Projector:

I have a home-theater tied into my home office space (multi-purpose room). Because I am situated in the basement with no windows, the projectors image quality is superb. Any light in the room greatly affects the image value range, but otherwise - stunning quality and value for the price. A worthy investment.

With a light grey paint the blacks stand out. At 10 feet across the HD is beautiful. I installed it on the ceiling so eveything is out of the way.
