This works great for me. I'm always taking macro pics from a distance, and being I'm never in the pics because I'm behind the cam, I can actually be in the pictures now. Great little tool. I rated it 4 stars only because I don't like the 2 second delay.

After turning the battery around and placing it in correctly and setting to self timer on my Canon XTI, it has worked like a charm for self portraits and tripod shots to eliminate camera shake.

Super simple, I use it for atronomical pics on the bulb setting. Press once to take the shot, press again to end it. It's great. You do have to be in front of the camera for the sensor to detect the signal however.
