Comments about Logitech 915000035 - Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote:
I use this everyday and have not been disappointed yet. It controls a large home theater system and various music systems easily.
Easy to convert from the Harmony 880 to the Harmony One, just logged on to the Harmony site and checked the 'add remote' box then updated my remote. I did have to add some other functions to operate my gear but it was very easy as this is a learning remote.
Touch Screen is great and easier than button pressing which wore out my 880 three times.
All in all I would recommend this to replace any 880 or to purchase as a first universal remote.

Having had 3 Harmony 880's go wrong after three years I figured I would try yet another Harmony but different from the 880.For the money I decided to try the Harmony One due to its cost [...]checked out the booklet, installed the battery, assembled the charging stand and charged the battery. In a very short charging cycle I hooked up the remote to my computer. As I already had a Harmony account and profile I simply changed over to the 'replace remote' mode and it took about 4 minutes on a DSL to get my remote programmed and everything running properly with Harmony's 'help' system.After the problems I had programming the 880's and their quirks this Harmony One seems to be a blessing at a much-reduced price.The remote feels good in the hand. The touch screen is very sensitive but greatly improved over the actual 'press the buttons' of the 880.I would recommend this to anyone experiencing difficulties with their current 880 or other remotes and yes it is worth the time and effort to set up from the beginning or first time user. Show patients and go forth into the realm of One remote for your system.

After buying one for one room, we bought another right away (although it would have been easy to program the first remote to do both rooms, we didn't want to run to the other room to get the remote.)You plug in the model number of your components and it does the job. When it screws up at first (inevitably), it learns to do it correctly and quickly.If you're using more than two remotes and the [$] isn't a big deal, I would highly recommend it.

Fixes 95% of the things I did not like about the 659 it replaced.
The buttons are larger, better labeled and more logically placed.
The software automatically sets up buttons that you won't use and neglects buttons you will us.
Harmony's support staff actually can resolve database and software problems so the remote does what you want.
It was really nice to have the database remember the equipment I programed into my 659 so that all I had to do was update my Directv DVR to the new model and everything else was automatically downloaded to the One.
Overall, a small investment for such a great remote.
I have given two as gifts to friends who both love it as well.

This remote replaces almost every remote that you have. The remote control for Velodyne SPL-1000R is the only one I was not able to get it suitably added; it lacks a category for speakers.
Barring that exception, this is one of the best you can get.
