Comments about Garmin Rino 530HCx 2-Way Radio & GPS:

Bought a couple 530s and a couple 130s to use for deer hunting to make sure all hunters knew location of other hunters. The 530 is MUCH nicer than the 130. The screen is easier to read and signal locks on faster. The price tag is a bit hefty, but it is worth it compared to the 130. The menu could be a bit more intuitive for both, but once you get used to them you can pinpoint your friends. You can also make your own maps of trails which is a very nice feature.

I added the Gamin topo U.S. 24K to makes use of the capabilities of the Rino.WOW, The data that comes with the DVD is really impressive. The price of the DVD is a little pricey but I am glade I have it. I have not had time to make good use of the unit, but little time I have had it I am confident that when I head to the hills I will have no problems with navigating the sierras with this Rino 530HCx 2-Way Radio & GPS by Garmin.[...]

This radio/GPS unit has all the features you could ask for in 1 hand held unit. I would recommend the optional alkaline battery pack as well to carry as a back-up just in case the re-chargable battery unit dies.

I'm a hunter and I need to rely on a good gps.A friend had it and said it was good, so I tryed it out.Well we went on a hunt in different areas and he ends up losing his, and was unable to find it. With a click of a button and in another area, I was able to locate it with out having to back track his steps. this is an awesome product....
