Used on a 13 day trip through the southwest (Nevada, Arizona, Utah, California), only one mis-route in a new housing area. All other route info right on.

I bought this model a few weeks ago, but finally got to use it this week on a beach trip.I have been going to the beach all my life but i just wanted to use the gps to see how well it works.I was very pleased when i went off the planned route of the gps to my route. It quickly re-routed and everything went great. It`s great for finding food and lodging (didn`t try anything else). It also showed if traffic was congested.I downloaded the 2010 map as soon as i got the gps.Don`t know about the battery life,so far i have just plugged it in the car accessory and used it.Love the compactness of it.I also have the Garmin Streetpilot C330 GPS which is one bulky son of a gun compared to the Nuvi. Also love the lane assist. So far i think i made the right choice. Would definitely recommend this model.

Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
It works great except for the lane notice. It's worked only in the New York, New Jersey area. We live in North 'Georgia and doesn't work in the Atlanta Area.

Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
Garmin is the king of GPS! Previously owned Nuvi 750 and this revised model is faster when calculating routes and when transitioning between screens when entering information. Free Traffic is a very cool feature and the ads it displays are not as obtrusive as I first thought. Additionally you can not knock Garmin on their mount design, its very good and keeps its hold! Only gripe is the slightly delayed boot up which requires approximately a second or two delay prior to entering PIN for Garmin Lock feature and like most GPS' the screen easily gets smudged with finger prints. Otherwise GPS is an overall excellent one.

Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
Works well right out of the box. Have used it in rural area and finds most roads. Maps were not really up to date in the unit received. Can down load updated maps. Garmin products are better than the competition.

Great system. Needs some software updates on some Highways (gives you the wrong exit sometimes especially in LA) other than that, works great.

Unit was apparently returned. Getting it registered to me was involved. Works extremely well in rural South Jersey. Garmin downloads are a plus.

Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
I'm new to the area so this unit has been invaluable in helping me find my way around. It has been very accurate considering the amount of new growth and new road construction that has occurred in the last few years in this area.
This unit has been very accurate at calculating an efficient route and the recalculating of routes has proven to be both very fast and accurate as well.
The "Point of Interests" have also proven to be very useful with the most obscure places being listed. This thing definitely does have a very extensive library of POI's.
The touchscreen can be a little inaccurate at times but nothing that would prevent me from recommending the product to others.
Overall I'm very satisfied with the product.

Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
This is my first GPS and I chose Garmin over other brands because of Garmin’s reputation. I found the 755t to be intuitive and straightforward to operate. The traffic feature worked well, as does route re-calculation. The unit works well, but I found that it is only as good as the data it acquires, once in a while it will make an error on a street name. I would recommend this unit to others.

Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
Retired and travel a lot. I had a Nuvi 250W and replaced with the 755T. I love it. Used it from Missouri to Dan Diego without a hitch. The 1 thing I don't like is the voice engine is not as good as the Nuvi 250W, and for the money it should be better.
Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
Purchased this one navigator to replace the one in our family's 3 cell phones. Traded the compactness for a larger screen so we can now steer around slowdowns - freedom! The cost for the one equals 11 months for the 3 - so we should save money. After receiving the unit, i registered, and then updated the maps online - took 2 hours i think, even tho i have 20/5 speed. Even so, the update did not include a 5-month old major change on a major route. My one real gripe is that the spoken words are almost all truncated both ends: eg, "Maryland Route 32" is compressed to "rylautir," making most spoken directions unintelligable. Haven't tried to contact anyone at Garmin yet for help - extremely annoying that i have to. Thus far, i have relied mostly on the onscreen directions (no slow scrolling like on the cell phone. Much easier and faster getting off the starting line too.) I would recommend this model to a friend only if i can easily solve the voice issue.

I use my nuvi sometimes when I know the directions just for the traffic update.
very simple to use.
Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
This is my first GPS so I wanted a good one. The 755T was highly rated and I find it easy to use and feature packed. The documentation leaves a bit to be desired. Garmin responds well to questions. The MP3 player is a nice touch, but I found it does not work well with large (16GB) cards. It doesn't recognize playlists on that size (worked at 2GB), but the player is a bonus. I haven't been in any large cities yet, but the FM transmitter seems to work great in the city I live.
Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
My wife and I are on a visitation team, and we visit new people to our church. The software is up to date and I can find 95% of all address. The other 5% aren't mapped yet as they are to new. I had a 7200 Street Pilot before that was stolen and loved it. I miss the large screen and remote control of the 1200. Other than that I love the 755T with the traffic alerts, eco drive and a few extras. You really can't beat the quality of Garmin.
Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
I love this GPS. It is a big step up from my last one, The traffic feature is fantastic. Today I would have been late for an important meeting had it not rerouted me around an accident. It's a no-brainer to use, and has all the features that I need. I use it everyday. The ability to quickly find a satellite is far superior to my old NUVI that had the flip up antennae. Great purchase.
Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
We hav'nt had a lot of drive time with our new unit so an accurate report is difficult. We did our initial take out to Portland Oregon. Since it had to be used before registering and updating some of the places of interest were not available. The voice for turning was on the late side, so if you didn't know the road you would have missed the turn. After registering and doing the new map update the places of interest were up to date, although I have'nt been back to Portland yet to see just how accurate the new maps are performing. The Garmin replaced our on board unit and with the bean bag mount you can place it anywhere on the dash and remove easily. The passenger can input while the car is in motion and that is something the onboard unit wouldn't do. The cost of updating the maps for the onboard unit outweighed the cost of the new Garmin, and those maps would have been from 2007. We are very pleased so far with the Garmin and the future updates are far less than our onboard unit.

The final turn prompt tend to be too late in relation to your driving speed.
Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
The device works well for a GPS. One of the nicer ones I've owned. It's nice that the traffic is free and for a lifetime, but it does not work well at all. It know where the traffic is most of the time, but the delay calculation does not work well and sometimes, it does not know traffic is ahead. That is the only real complaint i have. But... that is one of the main reasons I bought this model. Maybe ?I have to upgrade to MSN or something for better traffic info?

Out of the 4 systems I have used befor (other brands), this is by far the best.

Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
We have factory-installed GPS systems in all but one of our vehicles but I wanted a system that could fly with us especially on out-of-state golfing trips...the NUVI 755T perfectly fits the bill...it is intuitive right out of the box and as accurate as any system on the market...I did not want the bluetooth option so enjoyed the substantial savings afforded by the 755T over its higher-priced 7X5T alternatives...satellite acquisition is immediate and spot-on and the plethora of Garmin features is without comparison...the only thing missing from the 7X5T line is a voice recognition option but the bang for the buck on this model is absolutely sensational.

Comments about GARMIN NUVI755T- 4.3" GPS Auto:
So far this unit has been great--it gets me around CT with its' twisting, winding roads from town-to-town without a problem--right to my destination. No more map quest and printing out directions which caused me to take my eyes off the road to read a paper, or rely on little kids to read the directions and mess me up. This unit is perfect so far. It is suppose to advise of traffic patterns around cities, but we have not used that feature yet. I have ordered from Abes of Maine in the past, and they have been reliable and even helpful with repairs of photo equipment. Thanks.
