The Nuvi885T it's my first GPS it work great, i'm going to get one for my wife's car,so she can stop googleling every where she need to go.great product keep up the good work,very easy to use,and i love the voice command remote.

I use this product in my new area, since I am very unfamiliar with what's around. It works very well with getting me where I need to go. I set the voice to Karen (australian) purely for my own entertainment. I love that the speed limit is on the screen (since I never know what it is) but you shouldn't rely solely on that, since some things (like construction) could change it. I got this product because my sister has the older version and likes it.

Overall, I like it. It still has bugs in the latest 4.60 software. It has locked up and/or rebooted multiple times in one month of ownership. Routing overall tends to be good. I prefer the easy-to-use Garmin interface over competitors. Voice command is actually useful, but, it still needs work and still requires you to take your eyes off the road. Volume levels are always a problem with the small tinny speakers. FM transmitter weak (FCC reg.) Unit tends to be sluggish, as if the processor is not sufficient. Overall, I like the unit and am hoping that future software updates will fix the glaring bugs.

The best investment I've ever made as far as GPS units go. The Voice Recognition REALLY does help, its not a gimmick like I thought it would be, its actually very accurate and consistent with the results it gives. Everything about it is worth every penny you spend on it, regardless of whether or not you got a great deal on it, you won't even feel bad if you spent over $400 on it, it is absolutely not a waste of money.

Not a bad unit, you need to know the volume is terrible. Garmin missed the ball here. Overall I like the unit, the hands free is great. Bluetooth ok at best. For a GPS it is great.

I bought this unit back from Abe's in April and was pretty happy at first. Yes, it was hard to hear but I fixed that by playing it through the FM radio. After a week or so it started to have problems. It would hang a lot. The initially stellar speech recognition had become poor. There was now lots of hiss on the FM radio.Figuring it maybe a software issue, I ran the Garmin WebUpdater I downloaded from their web site. It installed new firmware v4.50 that bricked the GPS. My NUVI 760 had a permanent battery, but this 885T is replaceable. Great! And the voice recognition, coupled with BlueTooth phone connection make my ride hands-free and safe.

This unit has manyt good features over the 660 thought I wished it also told me locations of cameras at traffice inter-sections. I bit slower to up-date a change in route by about 2 seconds which sometimes makes me miss turns.
