After going through some cheap GPS units from Mio and Navigon I decided to go with one of the higher rated companies. I've had the 260 for 2 months and have had no problems with it. The only addresses I haven't found were new ones that aren't even on Google Maps, Live etc. If your looking for a small, easy to use and well designed unit, I definately recommend the 260.

It contains all the latest maps, and the text to speech is great. But sometimes, it takes awefully lot of time to figure out a satellite. And sometime it just stops speaking.

The NUVI 260 has met my expectations. It does not always pick the best route, but this can be overcome by adding waypoints. It would be nice to be able to store routes, but for the price, it has been well worth the purchase price.

I just bought a Toyota with built in GPS and I want my Garmin back. What a difference. The Garmin 260 has it all: Calls out road names, very easy to set up trips, recall trips and previous destinations, save Favorites easily. None of which describe the Toyota which cost 7 times more! Buy the 260 to get around at a great price. Pay more for another model if you want more options.
