Comments about PIONEER AVICF700BT GPS Entertainment & Communication System:
Soon after I submitted my review, Pioneer released a software update the corrected the Bluetooth problems with connecting to my blackberry. The boot up time has also improved dramatically something I know other users had issues with. I’ve also recently added a Pioneer backup camera and it is working great! The only remaining complaint is the time display on the top right corner of the screen is green on beige/grey background and is barely readable.

Biggest complaint is with the Bluetooth feature of this product. Bluetooth can take 1 to 20 minutes to connect to my blackberry and I’ve had problems being heard by people calling me. I think it works better if I initiate the call but I need more time to know for sure. My radio has the latest software that was released July 2008 which apparently fixed other more serious problems. I am very pleased with the GPS functionality, it compares well even against a Garmin product I use on another car. The radio and AV features also work very well; I have not tested iPod integration since I have no need for that. I’m hoping a new software patch is released that corrects the Bluetooth issues. I also think the screen colors need improvement to help with daylight readability. The GPS map is not bad but the time display on the top right corner of the screen is green on beige background and is barely readable.
