Used strictly for cycling, this wireless/magnetless setup is the way to go! Super easy to setup and customize. Has many more features than I will ever need or use. Be sure to keep an eye on the battery charge between rides, and you will always be ok. A very worthwhile purchase for serious trainers.

Seems I need a new computer every year because they fail. The simplicity of this design eliminates these problems

Up until I received my Garmin 205 I was using "My Tracks" on an Android phone. The phone GPS was very hit or miss. The 205 is VERY accurate and the Garmin Connect online data logging is OUTSTANDING (and free). It automatically detects and stores the information for online data tracking and sharing on social networks. It also uses Google Maps as an overlay for location. Elevation is pretty accurate for being satellite based and when setup, the calorie counter is a nice feature. This unit is not good if you are looking for a directional GPS unit with built in maps, but you can pre-load tracks to keep you on path. I know where I ride, so I use it as a training device and in this respect it is amazing for the price. The included Garmin training center software is good, but Garmin Connect is far superior.

This is my 4th Edge 205 because I either crash, wash it or lose it somewhere--thus the value of it being relatively inexpensive. Great price [...]

I generally like the 210. Easy to setup and simple to operate. Accurate as far as speed but the grade reading is often bogus, but that's no big deal. The software program lacks features but works well for what it is designed to do. I am now on my third one. The first one started going buggy right after the warranty expired, the second one I inadvertently left out in the rain overnight. It had moisture and condensation in it but still worked somewhat. It was taking forever to dry out. Apparently it was really great at keeping the water in...... out? Not so much. So after days of waiting for it to dry out on the heater vent to see if it would ever work right again I got frustrated and tried to accelerate the drying process and ruined it. My bad, but it is supposed to be waterproof down to one meter. I know I shouldn't have left it outside but what if I got caught in a really bad rain storm? In any case I couldn't find another bike GPS like the Edge so I bought another one.
