Comments about Garmin GPSMAP 76CSx Handheld GPS Receiver:

I love this new GPS and it's portability, large memory, preloaded marine Navaids, and autorouting cabilibilities make it a must-have for someone that likes to do a lot of things and where a dashboard mounted device won't work.

Comments about Garmin GPSMAP 76CSx Handheld GPS Receiver:

This is the second Garmin 76 I purchased. I have had my first 76S for many years, but it is an early model it has a monochrome screen and limited memory. The new 76CSx has all the features I liked with the old one and much more. The speed initialization and first position calculation is light speed quick compared to my previous unit. The screen is crisp and well lit. I put a 2G memory card in it and can load a whole region of marine charts or the whole US for road maps. I will reluctantly give up my old unit. It has lead me through many miles of kayaking, hiking, cross country skiing, and driving. But with the new unit, I'd have to be crazy to continue using it. Anyone want to buy an older, used 76S?
