This is a great product that has improved on trying to read a paper map while riding a motorcycle.The only negative thing about it is that there is no handbook for this item.There is a disc for a computer drive and a limited reference guide.Not everyone travels on a motorcycle with a disc drive.

Good value, good customer support this is my 3d unit, I used the Zumo 550 but do not need the Bluetooth, nor radio use so this unit is perfect at a 1/3 of the price of the 550.

Love the alerts I get that I downloaded that warn me about speed cameras and red light cameras. Bought it for my motorcycle and my car.

450 discontinued - should buy a 550

the 550 comes with a lot more in the box than the 450 - after buying the extra parts the 550 is only about $40 more. Plus the 450 is discontinued by Garmin. I don't need bluetooth (yet) but 550 now seems like a better deal. the 450 will not play mp3s without being hooked up to the cable to the battery. Seems like to much mounting and unmounting for local commuting. But a fun toy and works well for telling you where you are and what other possible roads are close.

The unit is great and have no problem with recommending this to a friend. The only complaint I really have is that it comes with an outdated map. [$]to upgrade to a new map. Shouldn't have to upgrade at all when purchasing this unit. Should come with it!!!

This unit mounted perfectly on my 2008 Goldwing via two bolts on the clutch assembly.

I love the MP3 fuction and put 200 of my favorite songs off my CDs on it. The 4MB optional card holds tons of songs.

Abes has the best price on this unit too. I like this 450 so much, I called Abes back and ordered the car mount kit. I won't go anywhere without this GPS. Love it!

Also, Garmin's tech support is outstanding should you be overwhelmed.

Tip - Once you get it out of the box, plug the supplied USB cable into your PC. That will start charging the GPS battery. Just let it sit for 4 hrs un-interupted. Then, start playing with it.

The "detour" function has been very useful in bad traffic tie-ups in unfamiliar territory.

It would be much more appreciated if it was sold with a locking mount.
