Great motorcycle gps that can easily be plugged into car as well.
Comments about Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle GPS Navigation System:
The Zumo 550 pairs up easily with the Jabra BT5020 Bluetooth headset. Sadly, it appears that this Jabra model is obsolete, despite being highly rated by Consumer Reports. I chose it because it is thin enough to wear under my helmet, and has a long battery life for my long rides.
Comments about Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle GPS Navigation System:
The GPS is rather new and I have yet to explore all of the features. What I have experienced so far is fantastic. One feature (screen) I truly appreciate is the compas and altitude on the same screen. I really enjoy this feature while riding in the mountains.

Comments about Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle GPS Navigation System:
I really looked forward to using this product. Garmin products have always been top of the line. As advertised, it was everything I was looking for for a 1 month on the road trip from Key West, FL, to the Arctic Circle in Alaska. Received the GPS with much anticipation. It wouldn't turn on. Not with the dashboard 12V suction cup mount in my car, not with a hardwire hookup on my bike, not with the internal battery fully charged, and not even with the included AC/DC power cord. Nothing. Abe's of Maine was great in exhanging the GPS for a new one. I will post another review after I have a chance to test it out.

Comments about Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle GPS Navigation System:
This GPS is awesome for a biker; its very versatile for auto use also with very rugged mountings for both the bike and car within its kit. The XM capability of this device is also great although the antenna from XM is ridiculously expensive and large for a bike application. XM and Garmin need to make the antenna biker friendly, smaller, to make it more practical for XM bike use.
Comments about Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle GPS Navigation System:
Even though I am a direction-friendly guy, without cluttering up the windshield with all of those directions, the Garmin Zumo 550 is a much better option. Plus, it speaks to you (you decide what voice you want to hear from downloads available from Garmin) giving the directions in a timely manner allowing me to keep my eyes on the road. I've used this device for over two years covering 50,000 miles. Another addition is the XM GMX30 antenna that is a separate option. It has weather (including severe weather alerts), traffic and XM radio. The traffic feature will figure out a detour around delays-keeping the engine from cooking in stopped traffic on a hot day. Top all that off with Bluetooth capability and a built-in MP3 player, this GPS is a must for the bike and those car-road trips too. Garmin includes mounts for both the motorcycle and auto. I can attest to the waterproofness of this GPS having ridden in heavy rain several times without any adverse affects on the device.

Comments about Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle GPS Navigation System:
I used the Zumo 550 on a trip from Florida to Sturgis in AUG 2008. I paired my cell phone to the GPS and then paired the GPS to bluetooth earbuds (Sony/Erickson). This allowed me to listen to MP3 music while I crossed the country on my Harley. When GPS instructions came up, the music was halted, instructions were given, and then it resumed with my song. It was ultra convenient. I could also see on my GPS unit who was calling my cell phone. If I decided to answer the call my music would halt until the phone was disconnected. This was great too, but only works for a quick 'I'm here, be there by x time' type of call - not conducive to any lenghty conversations due to the road and motorcycle noise. This was the second best piece of equipment I used for the 5,000 mile motorcycle trip (of course my Road King is number one).
