I love the Zumo 660. I have tried other GPS products, and they do not compare. The Zumo has a large clear screen, visible in direct sunlight. I like the built in MP3 player, compass, speed indicator, and time display all in one unit.
Comments about Garmin Zumo 660 Motorycle GPS Navigation System:
I use this product daily on motorcycle, and occasionally in an auto. I also have a Zumo 550, which recently died. The 550 was nice, but included functions I didn't need, such as XM radio, and had an awkward shape I never got used to.
The 660 has a great screen, and the whole thing feels sturdy enough. Compared to my 550, the 660 has several satisfying improvments such as a nice shape (thin rectangle! yeah!), a speed limit report which even turns red when you exceed it, and a neat lane assist feature in the upper left. It also has a nice/loud speaker built in, unlike the 550, which works even when off the bike.
At first, I thought plugging the USB into the battery compartment was going to be odd; but it turns out to be a decent idea. Opening the battery compartment takes a nice firm push of the release button, which reassures me of its water resistance.
Bluetooth pairing was a breeze. First time pairing with phone and intercom systems. So far so good there. Music plays through bluetooth in STEREO at last! My Zumo 550 did not.
Drawbacks included limiting the music player to mp3 format. Even though I don't listen to music too often when riding, it would be nice to use different formats.
My biggest disappointment, however, is the speedo screen. Or rather the lack of it. The Zumo 550 has a better "Speedometer-Primary" view screen than the 660. So, using it primarily for speedo reading (as most non-digital motorcycle speedo numbers are so tiny) is not as nice as with the Zumo 550. Who needs to constantly look at a HUGE rotating compass with tiny, hard-to-read-at-a-glance figures and tickmarks (which is in the place of where the speedo reading should be) when the heading is also displayed in N/NE/W/SW/E...etc anyway?
Finally, the kit does not inlcude a wall AC charger. Fortunately, the wall charger for my 550 is the same, so no big deal.
Over all, I am VERY happy with this product - it is exactly what I need, and does not contain a whole lot of what I don't. EXCELLENT MOTORCYLE GPS!
Comments about Garmin Zumo 660 Motorycle GPS Navigation System:
This unit is considerably smaller than my iWay 500C. The screen is not as easy to read while riding down the road. I would have bought another iWay if it had been available, however Lowrance does not do Turn by Turn anymore - too bad. I do like the capability to disconnect from the bike and maintain navigation (on battery power). I would really like to be able to adjust the font size and have the device inform me the road I'm currently driving on. You must look for steet signs to find out the name of the road you're traveling - a huge disadvantage when you're lost.

Comments about Garmin Zumo 660 Motorycle GPS Navigation System:
This GPS is great! It's user friendly, has large menues and buttons for using with gloves. The package comes with everything you need to mount to most Motorcycles, (I own a beemer and the supplied kit worked with mine). All the extras that come with the kit help absorb the shock of the price! This GPS really proves the old saying "That you get what you pay for", which is a great user friendly GPS versatile with motorcycles, cars and pedestrian traffic. It even has good battery life, impressive for such a large screen. My only gripe is, I would have liked to have had an auto friction pad instead of the suction cup mount. I almost bought a reconditioned older GPS instead of the 660 Zummo. I am glad I bought the Zummo.
