I bought this for my daughter for her new high-rise apartment in humid DC. She is so pleased with it. It cools the living room evenly and well, and she says it is absolutely silent. It was expensive, but my daughter's comfort is worth it to me. I believe this unit will serve her well for many years in this location and future homes. In the spring I will get her a second unit for her kitchen.

Previous model XQ06J10A had a fresh air vent --- this newer one doesn't. Also, unit is advertised as "Made in USA" but it has a fair percentage of imported components. I would thus categorize it as "Assembled in the USA" using American labor. Almost all other brands today are totally imported. All-in-all, though, a good unit.
