Installation is easy if you have the wall sleeve (not included) already installed. All you do is slide the unit in and plug it in. In my case, I cut a hole in the wall, framed and installed the sleeve. Took me all day and I am not a pro. The unit is heavy and takes two people to lift it safely in to the sleeve. The fan is lound only on the high speed because it pushes a lot of air which is good. I have it in my family room which measures 14'x19' and it sufficiently cools the room.
