They got all the basics right. Raised burner platforms keep spills from fouling hard to clean corners. Grate design makes for a very solid and stable cooking surface. Controls are central and intuitive, and have a solid, sturdy feel. For the price (Elex does not allow retailers to set prices) should include automatic light and burner blowout relight features.
