Loses one star for lengthy cycles. Kind of necessitates full loads. Very quiet, does an excellent cleaning job. The racks seem a bit awkward (top rack is too close to the top for dinner plates, bottom rack doesn't have enough spaces for those plates.

My 2 biggest criteria for a dishwasher were 1)clean dishes and 2) quiet. This Bosch ACES both. 1) would seem to be a no brainer for a dishWASHER but apparently it was pretty tough for my previous low-end Whirlpool. Clean glasses would come out dirty. The Bosch cleans everything spotless in the Powerscrub and Regular cycles, and everything not left overnight comes out clean in the Quick cycle. Only con I might suggest for some users is the 2 longer cycles can be over 2hrs long. (the quick cycle is ~30min) For me this is not an issue at all.
2) QUIET!!! This Bosch is whisper quiet. You can hava a conversation in the kitchen, guest will ask "When do you want to start the DW?" and I tell them, "It is running!"
The loading takes some getting used to. It does seem to get better the more I use it. But it seems almost too open and flexible. Everything fits but nothing feels like it is in the "right place" yet.

I have had this dishwasher for about a week. Very satisfied so far. Since it is so new I have no reliability data yet.

This dishwasher is reportedly more difficult to install than some dishwashers, but installation was still straightforward. Very easy to use, exceedingly quiet, and cleans very well. It also blends into our retro kitchen decor nicely.

The regular 2 hour automatic mode is great and uses very little water (2-6 ga) due to the soil sensing. The other modes are pretty much superfluous, either using more energy or more water and we don't see any need for them except maybe the rapid mode for the once-in-a-blue-moon big party. The talltub feature is also very handy for big pots and pans.

It's a perfect dishwasher for a small family. I would be happy with any of the Bosch line of dishwashers with automatic soil sensing.
