I love the dishwasher. I wanted a dishwasher with a stainless steel interior. All others were to expensive. I have no regrets. It is quiet enough for me. It fits all my pots, pans and dishes and cleans them really well. I do not have to scrub the dishes before I put them in. My mom just bought a differnt brand top of the line and I do have to say I like mine better, it fits more and the heating element is not exposed and cost way less!
Comments about BOSCH SHE45M05UC Evolution 500 Series Dishwasher-STAINLESS STEEL:
There are only two of us in the household so we are not running it very often. The previous dishwasher filled up about 2 - 3 times a week. I can now fit all of my plates into the Bosch and I am down to 1 fill up and wash a week. No issues with loading.
One thing I am getting used to is that my old one had a heating core (not very energy efficient) so when it was done it was entirely dry inside. The Bosch does not so it is better to let it set for a few hours before unloading or you may have to dry a few things. I don't believe that is a bad thing considering the energy that I will be saving, both with less washes and no heating core.
Over all I am very happy with the product. I hope to have this dishwasher for many years.

Comments about BOSCH SHE45M05UC Evolution 500 Series Dishwasher-STAINLESS STEEL:
Replaced a 3 year old GE Quietpower II that never cleaned well, and had 5, yes FIVE warranty calls in 3 years (parts breaking, always clogging). BOSCH ROCKS! The stainless interior is the way to go. Solid construction, cleans everything, everytime! QUIET! If you are replacing another built-in, the install is a snap. You will need a 90 degree 3/8 connector, a 3/8 hot water hose and a 3 prong power cable (Bosch does not supply these with the unit). I had trouble with leaking from the 90 degree connector where the hot water line went in, but it was due to not enough plumbers tape on the threads and not tightening the connector enough...problem solved. I was leary about the ability of the Bosch to dry the dishes without a heating element. If you use a rinse-aid as recommended, everything is dry at the end of a cycle!!! There will be a few drops here and there, but thats better than my old D/W and no burnt plastic smells! Without a rinse-aid, you will see more water at the end but everything is hot and very dry at the end of the cycle. We even use an eco-friendly plant based rinse-aid and concentrated detergent packs and it works perfect. Because of the clogging in our old D/W, I thought I would need a D/W with a built in disposer. Bosch has several easy to clean and remove screens/filters, and so far after over 20 loads, the filters are still clean, which probably keeps the jets free of debris too. There are some "advanced" programming options beyond the basic buttons on the front that require you to push different buttons in sequence to get the desired result..takes a while to figure out with the manual, but not a big deal. Overall, if it continues to perform the way it does over time, I will be a BOSCH customer for life. It is worth spending the extra $$$ for the quality. ABES also had the lowest price on the internet or local retail stores for this unit!!!

I can't believe how quiet this dishwasher is. I only wash 2-3 loads a week and so far I have no negatives. It looks great inside and out (love the stainless steel interior) and I throughly appreciate having a dishwasher that cleans without pre-washing!

We replaced a GE and we were surprised the the Bosch is narrower. There is an unattractive 1/2" to 3/4" gap on both sides. Also, it doesn't seem to be as deep as our GE was, so there is less space in the racks. Most of the cycles are almost 2 hr long. On the good side, it is quiet, and looks fantastic.

Comments about BOSCH SHE45M05UC Evolution 500 Series Dishwasher-STAINLESS STEEL:
So far the dishes have come out spotless. I can't hear the dishwasher when it is running, and I like the countdown timer on the front panel.
The silverware basket can be split up, so one can vary its placement better in the washer.
Installation was quite simple, and the directions were clear.

Comments about BOSCH SHE45M05UC Evolution 500 Series Dishwasher-STAINLESS STEEL:
In most ways this is a very good dishwasher. It is very quiet which is a plus as the kitchen is an area that we tend to have guest in. The unit seems to clean very well and uses a very small amount of dish detergent, I am amazed just how long a box lasts with this unit compared to our old dishwasher. The upper tray has two positions which is handy for tall items and give a bit more flexibility. I also note that even as the unit does "not" have a self cleaning filter in general there is usually little or nothing required for one to do with the filter screen but one should check it to be sure. The only little glitch I find is after a cycle is complete one must actually turn the unit off, true this is only hitting the off button and not really a big deal. It's just odd as usually a day or two later (there is usually just my wife and myself) when I load the machine I have to turn it "off" so I can turn it on again for a new cycle, a very minor complaint for sure. In general for a new unit it cleans well, uses little detergent to do the job, according to the book uses less water than most and it's really, really quiet! That said, most cycles seem to be fairly long, well over an hour with seemingly only like 10 minutes difference between normal and pots-n-pans. There is one very short less than 30 minute cycle and the few times I've used it with a partial load everything was clean, it's my understanding the longer cycles use hotter water. Again on the plus side even if the cycles are long one can almost not hear the unit running which is very nice. It is not a cheap unit for sure but it does a good job and if it has a decent life span it will be worth it to us to have spent the extra bucks for a higher quality unit. Bosch tends to get good ranking with Consumers Report which is important to me, as I repect the work they do to review products. Mind you I gave it 4 Stars but really it's 4.45 it's a quality unit, now more choices in cycles or able to load really big stuff would be a plus as well as a self cleaning filter but taken on the whole I'm pleased!
