Does the job but feels cheap

I was replacing a Maytag (which still worked but needed a new seal and I was changing other appliances so wanted to match)and choose all Bosch appliances. Love the microwave, electric range; not so much this dishwasher. The dishwasher is very lightweight and feels cheap. The racks and silverware holder are especially low quality and there is little flexibility for anything other than flat plates. Even small bowls do not fit easily in these racks. Also no stemware holder; so the item description was incorrect. My second choice was a Frigidaire and I now wish that I had gone with that and it was much less than this mediocre Bosch.

This dishwasher does a great job cleaning dishes. Has to be the qietest dishwasher I've ever owned. I would definately recommend this product.

Great Dishwasher- Really Quiet

This dishwasher is great at cleaning the dishes It is so quiet I can not tell when the unit has completely finished the cycle. Needed to increase the drying time but other than that it has been wonderful to use.

I used to design dishwashers for a competitor, Bosch was the standard for domestic kitchen dishwashers then and they still seem to be. While the Ascentia line is obviously a lower level with fewer features its far from a bare-bones model. It's quiet, it cleans well, it dries acceptably (always an issue with this type of design) and it was only a little more costly than the midrange models of the US Big Three appliance manufacturers. Those other dishwashers are mechanically the same as the cheapest models, just with a few more bells and whistles. I prefer the reliability and features of a stripped-down high end model like the Bosch Ascentia.

The great thing about the dishwasher, I planned on a 5 to 8 hour project to cut the cabinets install the electrical circuit from the panel in the basement and install the plumbing from under the sink,it was so easy to install, I was done in 2 1/2 hours.[...]Thanks for the service guys.
