Comments about BOSCH SHX55M02UC Integra 500 Series Dishwasher - WHITE:
Bosch dishwashers are an acquired taste. They do not have a dry cycle, so you will have to get used to that. They rely on water vapor condensing on the sides of the tub faster than it condenses on your dishes in order to dry them (because the sides are aluminum, which conducts heat, and the dishes store heat longer). This works fine for porcelain or Corelle-type dishes, but it does not work for plastic, since plastic seems to cool a lot quicker than other types of dishes. I use the rinse-aid that is recommended by Bosch, but I have still found this to be true. The solution is to wait for an hour or so while the water condenses on the sides, then open the door and prop it open overnight to let the rest of the stuff dry.
That being said, it does clean fairly well (although it does not get out 100% of tough, caked-on food), and it is quiet to the point that if there were no red LED indicating it was on, I would be inclined to accidentally open it. The lack of a drying cycle also reduces greatly the energy consumption.
All in all, it's a nice dishwasher, but the lack of a drying cycle takes some getting used to, so I would recommend it to a friend, with reservations. Your product summary really should highlight the fact that it does not have a dry cycle.
