We just completed a major renovation which left us without a kitchen for 3 months. Washing dishes in the tub nearly broke our backs so we were looking forward to having a dishwasher again. After researching Consumer Reports and reading many reviews, we settled on the Kitchen Aide S-Series dishwasher. We liked that it was not overly priced for all the amenities including stainless steel tub. The design is very sleek (we got the SS model) and I like that the controls are on the outside of the panel so they are easy to reach and read. I also like that the panel is one solid SS, not like other models that have black control panel areas. We are still adjusting to loading in a "different" setup but generally have found loading easy. The only thing I don't like are the extra blue clips and the track molding on the upper rack which makes loading glasses somewhat tricky. The only other issue that we have come across is that there always seems to be an excess of water on top of our glasses even with the drying cycle on. We are experimenting to see if we can improve that. Overall we are happy with the dishwasher and how it functions.

This dishwasher really cleans the dishes well. We replaced a 5 year old Fisher Paykel double dish drawer and this unit cleans so much better, without rinsing the dishes perfectly clean before loading. It runs very quiet which is important as our kitchen is open into the family room. With 4 children, we use it hard everyday. Best of all, my wife really likes it.
