In this price range it cleans well and has a quiet operation, which is a big deal for me since the kitchen is open to the family room.

This is my 3rd KitchenAid dishwasher. It cleans better than my last one; very similar to my first one. Impressive. Hopefully this will hold up as well as my first two. My last one washed at least 3 or 4 loads everyday for over 14 years! The vent design on the front is much better than the vent design on the upper models (on the top of the door).

I have had it for a couple of weeks now and am very pleased with it. It is very quiet and washes and dries well. Loading it is easy and it accomodates even large pots easily.

Cons: It came with a large insulating part that wasn't listed in the installation instructions and when we called KitchenAid, they were unable to help. It does not come with a top rack basket for holding small plastic items that might melt on the bottom rack. And lastly, be sure to purchase the power cord kit if you do not already have one that will work with it.
