We purchased this microwave after our GE Profile 1800. Besides the mounting being slightly different, this is a fantastic and less expensive alternative. The controls are easier to use and has all the features that you actually need. the vent fan is exceptionally powerful.

So far so good

Our last GE over-the-range microwave lasted for just over 5 years. I did some research and learned from other reviews that it's typical for the magnetron to fail in GE microwaves after three years. We're hoping that this new one will pass the 5 year mark.
