Comments about GE PEM31DMWW Countertop Microwave Oven - White:

This unit replaced a 17 year old GE Monogram space-saver. I didn't buy the [$]mounting kit, as I knew what it consisted of and was quite sure the old kit would work...NOT. Although the new unit is much lighter than the Monogram, the screws were changed from 6x32 to 10x32 machine, and hole placement was changed. Tracing paper and a trip to Home Depot solved the problem. Lay cut to size tracing paper on top of unit, mark hole layout, transfer trace to inside bottom of cabinet shelf, mark and drill 1/4" holes. Use flat head screws if you can countersink the 1" flat washers, otherwise use round head screws. Mount 13" from wall to unit face for clearance.

It heats fine, but wish it had higher wattage---most of competing models were higher. I bought it to replace my 16 year old built-in GE Spacemaker that died.

We are very pleased with our purchase. We like the express cook option, by pressing one button (number of minutes) the microwave starts! No need to press several numbers then start.
