Owners manual says that aluminum foil can be used, but does not explain what is metal inside the unit. My wife didn't understand that the interior is all metal (not plastic). She caused numerous, unremovable burn marks during the first days of usage.

This is a great machine for the price. Downside is that it is quite noisy-but for us this was made immensely better by simply putting a sound absorbing pad in the cabinet above it (we used a kitchen grippy gel pad). Now we don't even notice it.

Otherwise this is a great microwave. Once we figured out what the heck we were doing the install was easy-but figuring it out was another story. The directions are really really bad so we recommend checking out some tips online before trying to install it.
