This over-the-range convection microwave is the most advanced design on the market! These easy-fitting designs provide added room and installation is simple, offering flexibility for new homes or remodeling projects. A 13" diameter ceramic turntable with ON/OFF flexibility is included and can handle oversized or oblong-shaped dishes or containers. CompuBroil, CompuRoast, CompuBake automatically compute broiling, roasting, and baking times/temperature settings. A 7-digit, 2-color interactive display spells out programming steps on an easy-to-read display. Smart & Easy Sensor Settings automatically determine cooking or reheating times/power levels for microwave favorites. 2 racks are also included for level baking. The low rack can be used for baking, roasting, or broiling. Finally, a built-in exhaust system offers horizontal or vertical discharge or ductless recirculation and comes with a hood light and a powerful fan.

We bought this to replace an older almost-identical Sharp model. We really didn't consider anything else, as we were perfectly happy with the old one which we had for 12 years before it stopped working.

I bought this microwave as a replacement for an earlier model that I couldn't get repaired because of the difficulty of finding an authorized repair source. Since that model was quite outdated, I decided to buy the new model and was delighted at the price I found at Abe's of Maine after doing an extensive Web search. [...] My kitchen had been renovated by a prior owner and the microwave was built into a specifically sized area, so I needed the same sized item. The new model is exactly the same size, but the operations appear to be somewhat more sophisticated and varied. It came with a cookbook, so I'm looking forward to trying out some of the recipes so that I can take full advantage of the many functions of this microwave/convection oven.

I replaced my Sharp R1850A with this new R1870F which is much more quiet. It has an easy to understand control pantl. The staniless interior is easy to clean plus the turntable catches most of the boil overs, etc. and is easily removed for clean up. I've owned three Sharp convection microwave ovens over the past 15 years and they are excellent design and quality. [...]
