The first unit we purchased in 1993 after replacing the board 2 times in late 2006 we purchased the 2nd one then in dec 2009 that unit quit. ours is builtin to the cabinet above the oven. which is why we keep using the same unit. The trim kit we are using however is holding up extremly well we are still using the original one! When using the sensor setting it works extremely well.

This was a replacement for the same model that lasted about 13 years. Not bad. Since we already had the cabinet mounting kit for this model, we looked online to find that Sharp is still producing the same model. That points to a successful product if it's still being made after so many years.

I use a microwave a lot, and wanted a small second oven for occasional use. I selected this product for its large interior and reputation for reliability.

I haven't used all of the features yet. Chicken, biscuits, and crescent rolls do brown nicely. The defrost works really well, too, without overcooking meat. It is noisier than a microwave or oven when you bake with it, but I'm getting used to that.

It is easy to learn to use. I like the large number of controls on the control panel, unlike some of the other models. I miss the one-touch controls for 1-6 minutes, and the "add 30 seconds" feature from my old microwave, but I couldn't find a convection microwave that offered those.

This oven is great to sensor cook fish in a jiffy.
Also great for rewarming plates of food.
The convection is fantastic as it keeps the kitchen cool when your cooking and not like a regular oven.
The convection cooks much faster and the food tastes great.

what I like is the fact my baking stone fits and I can make great pizza and breads in it. I had one from 1987 that finally stopped working. While I haven't figured out all the advancements I am using it daily for all kinds of things. Also planning to fix a stew in it soon. my only concern is the turntable isn't as stable as my old one.

This oven replaced the last one I had for 18 yrs..It doesn't get any better than that. I use it at least 3 times a day and really can't live w/o it. I haven't cooked vegetables on the stove in years.

Twenty years ago, I received the Sharp R930AK as a wedding gift from my mom and when my model "died" after 10 years of service, I needed to find a replacement. So I bought it again. Then, a couple months ago, my second one died (once again, after 10 years of DAILY usage). After checking out newer models, I kept coming back to this one. Everyone I know who has owned it, has been satisfied. I ordered it from Abe's of Maine and I've been THRILLED ever since we put it in. It is easy to use, gives wonderful results and it is a true WINNER. YOU will not be disappointed! From convection cooking, to combo cooking, to broiling or microwaving, it does it all...with delicious results!

Sensor reheat and convection and baking all produce food that is not microwaveable rubber. We have had microwave convection ovens by a different manufacturer for 30 years. The last died after 20 years of use. This one is better at the job than the two older one's by a mile. The metal tray is easy to clean in dishwasher. Food comes out tasting like it was cooked by a master chef. We'll buy another one if this one dies.

Great product! Had an older model for several years and liked it so much decided to buy the same kind. A little confusing at first because several things are different, but I got up to speed real quick. I would definitely recommend this product if you use your microwave for cooking and not just heating things up.

I've only owned this oven since late November. I have only good things to say so far. Hopefully it will be as reliable as the oven it replaced. My last microwave went 13 years before it quit. There have been quite a few improvements since then.

Last one lasted for 12 years with daily use and actually still works. The cooling fan quit working and was going to be about $150 to fix. Like the convection oven and multiple automatic settings.
