This is a sturdy, yet portable stand that handles my heavy bass with ease. The automated locking mechanism at the yoke works flawlessly, and makes it a snap to place or grab the instrument. No fumbling and no worries. This sucker is STABLE! I could have paid less for a common stand, but I'm hooked on the quality that Hercules builds into their products. I expect this stand to be a hard worker for years to come.

The auto-grab system works well, and the tripod base is very stable. The stand is taller than I expected but that is because it holds the headstock instead of lower down on the neck like most other stands do. The height is not a visual issue when it is holding a guitar. The guitar hides the "DeWalt yellow" metal bracket at the tripod joint so you don't see the yellow when a guitar is in the stand.
