I bought this amp primarily to use as a practice amp and for recording at home. So far, I'm quite pleased. The Pathfinder 10 excels at clean sounds. I actually like using the Overdrive boost switch with the gain turned way down to get a nice growly tube-like clean sound on my tele's neck pickup (fantastic for blues!) and a fuzzy jangle on the bridge pickup that makes me think of R.E.M. or maybe Tom Petty. This amp has remarkable warmth, and can get quite loud with judicious use of the gain control along with the volume.
The one area where I feel this amp doesn't particularly shine is in its overdrive or distortion. You can get usable sounds, but the breakup tends to be fuzzy rather than smooth. This might work if you are playing 60's era rock, but I find myself sticking primarily with clean or nearly clean settings. I'll purchase an overdrive pedal for when I need a more distorted sound.
All in all, this is a great little amp. I suspect it would work fine for a small coffehouse type gig, and its natural warmth would be well suited to a solo performer. It's fantastic to get tone that's so close to a tube amp sound from a tiny solid state combo!

I use this for my practice amp and love it. It has that nice Vox chime and cranking the gain with the boost switch out gives a nice warm vintage distortion, and it can get LOUD!!!

I bought this because I wanted that nice clean Vox sound for practice. It's that and more. Huge sound for a 6 inch speaker. I use it with a Les Paul and a Strat. Sounds great with both. The distortion is more of a vintage overdrive, but I like it. Bring a pedal for more distortion.[...]s. I'll buy from these guys again.

Great little amp. I use it for practice. It has a good clean sound and with the overdrive switch gets decent distortion.
