Bought this VOX for my 8 year-old son for practice & performances, with the freedom to take it back-n-forth between home and elsewhere. He loves it's sound, look, and easy to use features. I prefer the "clean" sounds, although he really digs playing with the crunch, wah, etc. Oh well, that's independence for you. (we returned the Spider III amp that sounded more like a toy and an instrument). The amp is VERY RUGGED, and should withstand even the clumsiest of kids. Please know, this is a professional quality amp, and adults will love the sound - realize it's portable (batteries are an option).
