Comments about Alesis TRIGGERIO - Electric Percussion Trigger Box:

I use the TriggerIO as a way to turn my regular acoustic set into an electronic set. I have triggers on my drum heads and plug them into the TriggerIO. The TriggerIO goes into my laptop where I use software. This is much better and cheaper than using a drum brain since I already had the laptop. I didn't like the software that came with the TriggerIO. Use Battery 3 instead. [...]

Comments about Alesis TRIGGERIO - Electric Percussion Trigger Box:

I like the TRIGERIO. Originally had the DM5, but didn't need the drum sounds (use a DAW and EZDrummer) and the DM5 was limited to a 96 MIDI note MIDI range. The TRIGGERIO does all 128 and has some nice features for pad set up. I use it in a studio so stage volumes and stage bouncing/jitter/vibration are not a problem, so I cannot speak to those. However, with some patience and time the pads can be set for fairly tight response...and studio use so I can always delete an unwanted ghost note or miss-trigger. Worth the $ if you don't need the resident drum sounds.
