Comments about DEAN Sarasota 12 - 12 string electric guitar in Trans Red (picture shows TransAmber finish):

The finish is striking and the binding completes the look. This is the only place I seen that could use just a little more attention to detail. A few extra detailing points here and there before the final finish would have made this microscopically flawless.

The sound beautiful. I play it thought a Fender G-Dec Jr. Going though all the settings and I was amazed at what a spectrum of sound it creates and still maintains a balanced harmony between the stings. No overpowering highs or lows.

I like to pick a 12 string and found that to very comfortable after a short time. Yes it's a twelve string but you can "Hammer On" and "Pull Off" with just a little more effort than a comparable six sting. The neck is a little narrower than some acoustics I've played, but still had plenty of room to play. Action was good out of the box, but I think there's some tweaking to do yet.

Tuning will take a few passes as adding twice the tension will move the neck. After three passes and I had it locked in and it stayed in tune after an extended use. The Grover tuners are rich looking and work smoothly.

The pickups work well, but I do wish it had a four knob Les Paul setup on it. All the electronics looked and functioned well.
