Peavey proudly introduces its new JF-2 guitar, a rockabilly flavored, archtop semi-hollowbody based on Peavey's JF-1 jazz/fusion guitar. The Peavey JF-2 combines the superior playing comfort of the JF-1 with high-output pickups, a vintage tremolo tailpiece and expressive sparkle-paint finishes. The JF-2 also features a thin, lightweight maple ply guitar body with solid veneer top; mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard; Grover(R) tuning keys; and cream binding on the body. The guitar's electronics package includes two volume controls, two tone controls and a three-way, toggle-style pickup selector. The distinctive stylings of the JF-2 are complemented by its unique Peavey sound.

Comments about Peavey JF-2(TM) EXP - Gold Sparkle:

Very well put together all around instrument. Workmanship is excellent. Fit and finish is a good as any other production guitar and better than most. Nice and bright on the bridge pickup and smokey neck pickup tones. It came shipped with strings that were to light for my taste, (.009's) but then again so does virtually every other guitar on the planet. I did a quick setup and neck adjustment with new strings and it is a great player that I would recommend to anyone. It is a great gigging guitar as it has good essentials and really minimal feedback problems. I use a hundred watt head through either a 2x12 or a 4x12 cab depending on the venue and I really haven't had any difficulty. The price to quality ratio makes grabbing one of these a no brainer.

Bought this guitar to go with my Peavey Windsor Studio amp after seeing it on the video on Peavey's web site. I finally got that B B King blues sound I was looking for at an affordable price. It plays easy, sounds great and stays in tune. My best friend was amazed at the price after he saw and heard it. I would highly recommend it. [...]

Comments about Peavey JF-2(TM) EXP - Gold Sparkle:

My only complaint is that due to the weight of the Bigsby-style tremolo, you really need a strap to keep it in place when playing, or it tends to slide off your knee. I would suspect this to be true of any guitar with a Bigsby style tremolo. For a semi-hollow body, it is fairly heavy. The style, looks, sound, feel, price and workmanship more than make up for those drawbacks. I have owned at least twenty-five or more guitars including Gibsons, Fenders, Peaveys and many other brands. This Peavey, next to my T-60 Peavey, is my all-time favorite! After 60+ years of owning and playing guitars, I would recommend this work of art to anyone except a beginner or a very small statured person. At Abe's of Maine's price, you really cannot go wrong! The only tough decision was which color.
