Comments about M-Audio Keystation 61es MIDI Controller:
A great and simple controller. I've always found that springy synth-action keys seemed almost unrelated to the sound produced (especially using a piano patch or something equally as dynamic), while hammer-action (otherwise known as "weighted") keys were a chore to use. The "semi-weighted" keys of the Keystation 61 are perfect for me. Responsive, but with just enough resistance.
There are next to no controls so if you need hands-on control over midi parameters you may prefer the Axiom.
This is my second one of these. I finally wore the other one out.

inexpensive and works fine, but there are not preloadable sounds, must have computer to use.

I use this keyboard on all of my productions. I love how you can change the pitch easily.
