Really can't find anything with the same features at the price. Set up was easy and the sound auto-configure was a welcome surprise. So far, my HD TV and BluRay listening experience has been great.

Love this receiver. I still haven't explored all of it's features but I have a 52" SAMSUNG LCD, PS3 and Time Warner HD cable box all going to this box. I hooked it up, auto-calibrated it (awesome feature), and that was ALL it took. Love it!!

Comments about SONY STRDG820 - 7.1-channel Home Theater Receiver:

I recently bought the Sony and the Onkyo recievers, both priced around [$], at 2 major stores. I wanted to see which I liked better, and they seemed so close in specs, that I just had to find out personally what is better. I used both of them for 15 days each before I had to return BOTH of them back for a refund (so that I can buy it cheaper here) but here is what I found- The ONKYO is a good name, and it works well with a PS3 and Satellite TV. However, the Sony is cheaper (I believe) and has 4 HDMI inputs, and switching back and forth between components is so easy. I also heard some people saying the Sony wouldnt work with TimeWarners cable box, but it has worked well. I am using a Panasonic 50 in. plasma, and my setup is great.
