This grip really balances the camera out, especially when using it with longer lenses. Having two batteries means you can shoot all day long without having to change them. Plus setting your camera down on the grip sure beats possibly damaging the bottom of your camera.

I use this on my 40D for wedding photography and I've found it to add a greater feeling of comfort and balance with heavier lenses. It's especially apparent when using my 70-200L IS but still feels great with smaller lenses like the 24-105L, which is my workhorse lens.
