I have to say that this Battery Grip makes life easier. It doubles the battery life without having to swap out batteries, and the virtical shot controls work great. I have used one on my Rebel XTi for a long time and had to grab this new model for my Rebel T1i when I upgraded to it. I have a friend who picked up an aftermarket battery grip for his T1i and he has had nothing but trouble with it. Go Canon and spend the extra few bux. You will be happy you did.
